3 week trip to Cambodia. Arrived in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) via Hong Kong and then travelled by bus to Phnom Penh where we hired the Honda Baja motorbikes. May 2007 – Bulgaria including Bansko and Sunny Beach Fri 25 May: Flight with Bulgarian Air to Sofia from Zurich. Pick up car and stay in Blagoevgrad. Sat 26 May: Drive to Bansko and stay up the mountain Sun 27 May: Hike up Vihren and then drive to Plovdiv and stay in nice hostel place. March 2007 – 6 week trip to Brazil. First stop was carneval in Rio followed by some cycling to Florianopolis and then inland cutting through Argentina to Foz d`iguazu. From here i ventured into Paraguay which was an interesting experience as a lone cyclist. I was pleased to return to Brazil a few days later and the tourist haven of Bonito. Arrive at Thessaloniki at about 2 am after flight from Zurich. Have problems getting a taxi as we have bikes in big cardboard bike boxes. After all queue has gone find a cabbie who folds seats down and takes us. Go to really scummy hostel. Walk up to 3rd floor and go into dorm. Noisy from traffic and then cold in night.
